VivaTech x Bloomberg Awards

On the occasion of VivaTech’s 10th anniversary, VivaTech is partnering with Bloomberg to inaugurate a new global awards platform to recognize the companies, founders and leaders shaping the future of technology.

The winners take the stage during the VivaTech x Bloomberg Awards ceremony on 18 June in the VivaTech Theater, alongside Francine Lacqua and Tom Mackenzie from Bloomberg.

The ceremony will recognize winners of these seven awards:

- Visionary Award recognizing lifetime achievement by a person or organization.

- Leadership Award recognizing a senior leader whose decisions and stewardship are shaping the global tech economy

- Momentum Award recognizing a founder who is actively building a defining platform or institution.

- Breakthrough Award recognizing game-changing innovators who advance the limits of the possible

- Investor Award recognizing an individual investor or firm whose capital and conviction accelerated innovation

- Rising Star Award recognizing an emerging founder or thinker, nominated by the wider Bloomberg and VivaTech communities

- CitizenTech Award recognizing a city, country or region using technology to make a real-world impact on its citizens

The VivaTech x Bloomberg Awards trophies were designed by artist Clara Tournay in partnership with Art Majeur.


AfricaTech Award For its fifth edition and for VivaTech’s 10th anniversary, the AfricaTech Award is expanding its scope and shining the spotlight on innovative startups from seven industries: FinTech; HealthTech; HRTech; AI and Big Data; GreenTech; Agri-Fintech; and Industry Tech, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics.

The six finalist startups are invited to pitch during a Pitch Session held at VivaTech on 17 June 2026, and the winner will be announced during the VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony in partnership with TechCrunch, on 19 June 2026 at 2:00 PM on Stage One.

Last year, the grand prize winner, Reme-D.Inc, was presented with the award by Senegalese international soccer player Edouard Mendy to highlight the excellence and transformative potential of African tech.


Innovation of the Year Award For the second year, the Innovation of the Year Award in partnership with TechCrunch recognizes exhibiting startups with fewer than 100 employees and which were founded after 2020, judging them on their originality, impact on their industry, and their economic and environmental sustainability.

The five finalists benefit from significant media exposure, meetings with investors, and a pitch at the Pitch Studio on 17 June 2026. The winner receives a free booth at VivaTech 2027 and an invitation to TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield. The award will be presented during the VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony, in partnership with TechCrunch.

In the first edition, the five finalists, recognized for pushing the boundaries of technology, were: Chipiron for its portable and cost-effective MRI technology; BeyondMath for accelerating physical simulations using AI for engineering tests; Enerdrape and its geothermal panels that transform parking lots and tunnels into renewable heating and cooling sources, without drilling; Lumisync and its first 100% photonic oscillator for data centers; and Hua Tech International for its microfluidic platform combining AI and nanotechnology to capture and analyze rare cancer cells, paving the way for next-generation precision diagnostics.


Female Founder Award For its eighth edition, this initiative promoting women’s entrepreneurship, in partnership with Forvis Mazars (Sponsor and Knowledge Partner); IRIS (Knowledge Partner); JCDecaux (Sponsor); C’est Qui La Boss? (Media Partner); and SISTA (Ambassador), received 444 applications from female founders from 85 countries, demonstrating the appeal of this award and the importance of amplifying the visibility of female founders of innovative startups.

The five finalists selected by the jury to pitch their solutions during the Female Founder Award final, on 18 June at 12 p.m. on the BlackStage, are:

- Barbara Bachus, co-founder & COO of ExoMatter (Germany)

- Ruth Bosse, CEO & Founder of Ark Climate (Germany)

-Joana Cartocci, co-founder & COO of Robeauté (France)

- Liz Dennett, Founder & CEO of Endolith (USA)

- Mathilde Janicot, co-founder & COO of Revolty (France)

The winner will be announced during the VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony, in partnership with TechCrunch, taking place on 19 June at 2 p.m. on Stage One.

Last year, the winner was Hélène Briand, co-founder and CTO of Verley, a French startup focused on food biotechnology and the commitment to sustainable agriculture. More information on the finalists here


Tech for Change Award Launched in 2025, the Tech For Change Award—in partnership this year with Axionable (Knowledge Partner), Les Echos (Media Partner), and three VivaTech partners: Envision, UNESCO, and the WWF—addresses VivaTech’s mission to highlight startups with a positive impact in three areas: the environment, society, and health.

Among these startups recognized as “Tech for Change,” the Top 30 and Top 6 startups have been announced (more information here).

The finalists are invited to pitch at the Pitch Studio on 17 June from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. They are:

- Julien Choukroun, CEO, DataGreen – Environment Category

- Sandrine Claus, CEO, STARFISH Bioscience – Environment Category

- Fanny Giannou, CEO, Alithea Biotechnology – Health Category

- Ernst Elhorst, CEO, Exolumen – Health Category

- Carlos Oba, CEO, Dots for Africa – Society Category

- Johanna Queille, CEO, Circle Mind – Society Category.

The winning startup is to be announced at the VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony, in partnership with TechCrunch. Last year, the winner was Adrienne de Malleray for the startup Genesis, which uses innovation and technology to improve the health of agricultural soils.

Next Startupper Award Organized in partnership with Les Echos and DoohYouLike (DOOH Partner), this award highlights the brightest minds from universities around the world, proving that age is no barrier to tackling global challenges and the planet’s most pressing issues.

The six finalists were selected for their potential to revolutionize industries ranging from improving construction site safety to transforming water purification; their projects embody the excellence of academic innovation and the future of the global tech ecosystem:

- AssisTech – Rice University

- GeoFresh – Institut Polytechnique UniLaSalle

- Neptune – Epitech

- Notex – Ensap Bordeaux

- ShiftElec – École Polytechnique

- Xatoms – University of Toronto

The six finalists will pitch their projects on stage during the finals on Wednesday, 17 June at 5:00 PM in the Pitch Studio, and the grand prize winner will be announced at the VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony, in partnership with TechCrunch on 19 June.

The award is sponsored by Cyril Chiche, founder and CEO of Lydia Sumeria, and the jury consists of Alice Hagger from Welcome to the Jungle, Chloé Le Cossec from Live for Good, and Fabrice Guez, co-founder of DoohYouLike. The winner receives a prize of 5,000 euros and a startup corner at the next edition of VivaTech.


The Top 100 Rising European Startups Ranking For the second year, VivaTech has published its ranking of the Top 100 Rising European Startups, in partnership with Accel, Eurazeo, HV Capital, Northzone, Partech and White & Case. To qualify for this list, startups must be based in a European country, operate in various sectors, have been in existence for no more than five years, demonstrate rapid growth, project annual recurring revenue of at least €5 million by 2025, and possess the potential to profoundly transform their industry.

This edition of the Top 100 reveals a leading trio: the United Kingdom (28 startups), France (23), and Germany (23); and six highly dynamic sectors within the European entrepreneurial landscape: AI, of course (with six subcategories), FinTech, Cybersecurity, HealthTech, LegalTech, and Marketplace. The Nordic countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark) are outperforming in AI and Climate Tech, while Italy is emerging in LegalTech and AgriTech.

Visitors to Hall 7 can discover 12 startups from the Top 100 every day at VivaTech at the VivaTech Rising European Startups Village, in the Sovereignty Arena.

Les 7 prix remis incluent :

- Leadership Award récompense un dirigeant dont les décisions et la gouvernance façonnent l’économie technologique mondiale.

- Momentum Award récompense un fondateur qui construit activement une plateforme ou institution déterminante.

- Breakthrough Award récompense les innovateurs révolutionnaires qui repoussent les limites du possible.

AfricaTech Award Pour sa cinquième édition et le 10ème anniversaire de VivaTech, l’AfricaTech Award élargit son périmètre et met en lumière des acteurs issus de 7 industries innovantes : la FinTech, la HealthTech, la HRTech, AI and Big Data, GreenTech, Agri-Fintech, et l'Industry Tech, Manufacturing, Supply chain and Logistics.

Les six startups finalistes sont invitées à pitcher lors d’une Pitch Session organisée à VivaTech le 17 juin 2026 et la gagnante est annoncée lors de la VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony, en partenariat avec TechCrunch, le 19 juin 2026 à 14h sur la Stage One.

L’année dernière, la grande gagnante Reme-D.Inc, s’est vue remettre le Prix par le footballeur international sénégalais Edouard Mendy pour illustrer l'excellence et le potentiel transformateur de la tech africaine.


Innovation of the Year Award Pour la deuxième année, le Prix de l’Innovation de l’Année - en partenariat avec TechCrunch récompense les startups exposantes à VivaTech 2026 - qui comptent moins de 100 salariés, et ont été créées depuis 2020, pour leur originalité, leur impact sur l’industrie et leur viabilité économique et environnementale.

Les cinq finalistes bénéficient d’une exposition médiatique puissante, de rencontres avec des investisseurs et d’un pitch sur le Pitch Studio le 17 juin 2026. La lauréate remporte un stand gratuit à VivaTech 2027 et une invitation au Startup Battlefield de TechCrunch. La remise du Prix a lieu lors de la VivaTech Startup Winners Ceremony, en partenariat avec TechCrunch.

Lors de la première édition, les cinq finalistes, reconnues car elles repoussent les limites de la technologie, étaient : Chipiron pour sa technologie IRM transportable et économique; BeyondMath pour accélérer les simulations physiques grâce à l’IA pour des tests d’ingénierie; Enerdrape et ses panneaux géothermiques transformant parkings et tunnels en sources de chauffage et de refroidissement renouvelables, sans forage; Lumisync et son premier oscillateur 100 % photonique pour les data centers; Hua Tech International pour sa plateforme microfluidique combinant IA et nanotechnologies pour capturer et analyser des cellules cancéreuses rares, ouvrant la voie à des diagnostics de précision de nouvelle génération.


Female Founder Award Pour sa huitième édition, cette initiative en faveur de l’entrepreneuriat féminin, en partenariat avec Forvis Mazars (Sponsor et Knowledge Partner), IRIS (Knowledge Partner), JCDecaux (Sponsor), C’est Qui La Boss ? (Media Partner), SISTA (Ambassador), a reçu 444 candidatures de fondatrices issues de 85 pays, témoignant de l’attractivité de ce Prix et de l’importance d’amplifier la visibilité des fondatrices de startups innovantes.

L’année dernière, la gagnante était Hélène Briand, co-fondatrice et CTO de Verley, startup française dans les biotechnologies alimentaires et l’engagement pour une agriculture durable.

Tech For Change Award Lancé en 2025, le Tech For Change Award - en partenariat cette année avec Axionable (Knowledge Partner), Les Echos (Media Partner) et trois partenaires de VivaTech Envision, l’UNESCO et le WWF - répond à l’enjeu de VivaTech de mettre en avant les startups à impact positif dans trois domaines que sont l’environnement, la société et la santé.

Parmi ces startups reconnues “Tech for Change”, le Top 30 et le Top 6 des startups ont été dévoilés (plus d’informations, ici).

Le Classement Top 100 Rising European Startups Pour la deuxième année, VivaTech a publié son classement des Top 100 Rising European Startups, avec Accel, Eurazeo, HV Capital, Northzone, Partech et White & Case. Pour être dans cette liste, les conditions sont d’être issu d’un pays européen, dans différents secteurs d'activité, d’avoir cinq années d’existence maximum, une croissance rapide, un CA récurrent annuel d’au moins 5 millions d’euros en 2025 et le potentiel de transformer leur industrie en profondeur.

Cette édition du Top 100 révèle un trio de tête : Royaume-Uni (28 startups), France (23) et Allemagne (23); six secteurs fortement dynamiques de la scène entrepreneuriale européenne : l’IA, bien sûr (avec 6 sous-catégories), la FinTech, la Cybersécurité, la HealthTech, la LegalTech et le Marketplace. Les pays nordiques (Suède, Finlande, Danemark) surperforment sur les volets IA et Climate Tech, tandis que l’Italie émerge sur la LegalTech et l’AgriTech.

Les visiteurs du Hall 7 peuvent découvrir chaque jour de VivaTech, 12 startups du Top 100 sur le VivaTech Rising European Startups Village, qui se trouve dans l’Arena Souveraineté.
