Binational French-German Center On AI

For France and Germany, it is of utmost importance to focus on research and innovation — particularly in a rapidly changing environment characterized by the accelerating, AI-driven transformation of the economy and society, shifting geopolitical dynamics, a growing need for technological sovereignty, a new phase for Europe, and the ongoing challenge of maintaining competitiveness; DFKI and Inria have been working together in the field of AI for years. Building on a cooperation that has been in place since 2020 the strategic partnership is now to be institutionalized and intensified within the framework of a French German Binational AI Center. The French-German Centre on AI will act as a dual bridge: connecting Germany and France in technological innovation, and linking research with practical application.
