The Franco-German University (DFH-UFA) is an international institution that supports around 200 bi- and trinational degree programmes, cross-border schemes for doctoral candidates and young researchers, as well as networking opportunities. It plays a pioneering role in fostering cross-border and interdisciplinary collaboration among academic stakeholders, and is instrumental in shaping the infrastructure that underpins such collaboration. In doing so, the Franco-German University makes a vital contribution to the sustainable promotion of innovation and academic excellence rooted in the heart of Europe and reaching beyond it. The theme of “strategic autonomy” brings together some of the most successful partnerships drawn from its globally unique network and highlights its innovative character illustrated by partners from Munich-Bonn-Paris, Passau-Lyon, and Saarbrücken-Lorraine.
