RoGSiLT - Robust and Generalizable Sign Language Translation For greater accessibility and inclusive communication RoGSiLT is one of the projects resulting from the collaboration between DFKI and Inria and will be presented on June 17. This latest project aims to significantly advance translation technologies for German Sign Language (DGS) and French Sign Language (LSF). The goal is to develop fully functional systems for expressive, robust, and generalizable sign language translation (SLT) for DGS and LSF. In line with the EU Accessibility Act and the UN Strategy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, the project improves communication for deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deafblind people and lays the foundation for inclusive, effective educational, work, and social interactions in a barrier-free digital society.
