Startup in Brandenburg (Federal State of Germany)

As a federal state, Brandenburg has long been more than just the green countryside surrounding Berlin – it is developing into a genuine start-up hotspot. The state capital, Potsdam, ranks among the top five start-up cities in Germany. Not least, it was the birthplace of the Brandenburg unicorn Signavio, which was acquired by SAP in 2021 for around one billion euros. Brandenburg focuses primarily on the innovation sectors of software (22 per cent) and medical technology and digital health (17 per cent). And the MediaTech Hub Potsdam is the only digital hub in Germany dedicated to MediaTech as part of the federal government’s de:hub initiative.
