About Me

Arianna Legovini is Director of the Development Impact Department at the World Bank Group, which she founded more than twenty years ago to embed rigorous evidence, data, and experimentation into development policy and operations. Her work focuses on transforming governments into learning systems that continuously improve outcomes using real-time data, analytics, and AI. She leads LEADS (Learn. Adapt. Scale.), a global platform that integrates experimentation and data systems into large-scale public investments across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, health, and jobs. She also leads ImpactAI, an AI-powered system that enables policymakers to synthesize and apply global evidence to design more effective policies. Her work sits at the intersection of science, technology, and public policy, helping governments use AI and data to make better decisions and achieve greater impact at scale.
