About Me
Bruno Le Maire began his political career in 1996 at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an Adviser, where he worked on strategic affairs and disarmament issues. He then joined the Prime Minister’s Office (Matignon) as Political Adviser and later served as Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.
In 2007, he was elected to the National Assembly and was re-elected in 2012 and 2017. He served as Minister of Agriculture from 2009 to 2012 under the presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy. Under President Emmanuel Macron, he was appointed Minister of the Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty in 2017, a position he held for more than seven years, until the end of September 2024.
Today, he serves as Special Advisor to ASML, Senior Advisor at Macro Advisory Partners, and Lecturer at the University of Lausanne. Bruno Le Maire is also a member of the Board of Directors of the IM'PACTES association, chaired by Professor Céline Greco.
Bruno Le Maire is also an accomplished author and has recently published a new book entitled Le Temps d'une Décision (Gallimard).
