About Me

- first part of my career: University Professor of Computer Science at Paris university (Sorbonne university), at Orsay University (Paris saclay University) where I led the Computer Science Research lab of this university, creator of the computer science chair of ecole normale supérieure rue d'Ulm -second part of my career Called by the chairman of Groupe Bull to lead the advanced research of this company with teams in Europe (France, Germany, Italy) and the US. Among others I initiated the positionning of Groupe Bull on supercomputers. I've been member of the executive committee of Groupe Bull. -I've been elected to the french Academy of Technologies of which I became Vice President and then President; I still serve in this academy as Honorary Chairman. All along my career I perticipated to or chaired numerous scientific committees or boards of research organizations (CNRS, Inria), engineering schools (Mines Telcom), national or european research funding initiatives.
