About Me
Emma Cloney is Senior Vice President of International Sales and Strategy at Core42, and General Manager for Ireland. Emma leads Core42’s European go-to-market strategy and regional commercial expansion, partnering with public and private sector customers to build sovereign AI solutions that meet national, regulatory and enterprise requirements while supporting the company’s global growth.
She brings three decades of experience scaling technology businesses across the global technology sector. Emma joined Core42 from Google Cloud, where she most recently served as Managing Director, Global Business Programmes, improving field productivity and strengthening commercial performance across global sales teams. At Google Cloud, she led regional business development and played a central role in growing Google Cloud EMEA from early stage to a multi-billion-dollar business in under three years.
Prior to Google, Emma held senior leadership roles across SAP and Microsoft. At SAP, she held board responsibilities in the UK and Ireland, driving cloud revenue growth and operational productivity. Earlier in her career, Emma spent 15 years at Microsoft, including as Chief Operating Officer for Advertising and Online in Europe. During her tenure, she led a 120-person organization across 15 countries and oversaw one of the company’s most significant enterprise financial services platform migrations.
Emma is a graduate of University College Dublin and holds additional qualifications from INSEAD, Imperial College London and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a member of WB Directors UK and the Institute of Directors.
