Fatou has 20 years of experience across financial services, European capital markets, investment banking, and international DFI roles, which she has leveraged into impact and VC investing in Africa. Her background spans equity derivatives, fixed income, FX, commodities, and structured finance, alongside deep engagement within the African VC ecosystem.
She has focused on increasing access to finance for youth- and female-led startups and SMEs through hands-on acceleration of eight companies, early-stage investments of $2M into 12 tech-enabled startups (43___PERCENT___ female-founded/led), and the establishment and management of two impact funds totalling $115M, which have supported the creation of over 14,000 jobs across Africa.
A graduate of Paris Dauphine University and Bayes Business School, Fatou combines strong technical expertise with a pan-African network and close founder engagement, supporting entrepreneurs in scaling innovative, high-impact businesses across the continent.
