Jens Holtinger

Jens Holtinger assumed the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Volvo Group in September 2025. He has served on the Volvo Group Executive Board since 2020. As the Chief Technology Officer, Jens Holtinger is responsible for shaping Volvo Group’s technology strategy across all products and services, with an emphasis on advanced transport solutions in electromobility, connectivity, and autonomy. He leads a global research and development team of 15,000 professionals, guiding innovation towards sophisticated software-defined vehicles utilizing batteries, fuel cells, and renewable fuels. With over three decades of experience in the transport sector, Jens Holtinger has held several senior leadership roles within Volvo Group. Prior to his appointment as CTO, he served as Executive Vice President of Volvo Group Trucks Operations, overseeing global truck manufacturing, including cab and vehicle assembly, powertrain production, and logistics f
