About Me

Micheline Misrahi-Abadou, MD, PhD is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Paris-Saclay University, member of Academia Europaea and European Academy of Sciences. A pioneer in reproductive genomics, she identified major genetic causes of infertility and premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Her work now focuses on genetics, AI & precision reproductive medicine to improve diagnosis, and personalized care. She was the first to clone the progesterone receptor gene and established the structure of the LH/hCG receptor, central to reproduction. She created the first French molecular genetics platform dedicated to infertility, recognized by the French Ministry of Health as a national reference center. Her research led to the inclusion of POI in the National Genomic Medicine Plan and to the revision of POI diagnostic recommendations by four international learned societies in 2024. She is a member of the International Menopause Society, where she founded a Genetics Interest Group.
