About Me

Dr Nayana Prakash is a technology researcher, writer, and speaker based in London. Currently, she is a Research Affiliate at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy at the University of Cambridge and a Research Consultant at the IPPR (Institute for Public Policy Research), where she is working on the cost of digital dependency for the UK and exploring pathways to UK digital sovereignty. Previously, she was a Research Fellow at Chatham House, where her research projects spanned technology, democracy, geopolitics and cybersecurity, particularly in the Global South. She completed her PhD at the Oxford Internet Institute, focusing on creativity and self-expression on the internet in India over the last decade. She is currently working on a non-fiction book on India and technology and is represented by Matthew Marland at RCW Literary Agency in London.
