Yehia Houry is the Chief Executive Officer of Flat6Labs, the leading entrepreneurship platform in emerging markets. With over 20 years of experience in venture capital, startup acceleration, and ecosystem development, Yehia has advised governments, supported thousands of founders, and served on the boards of high-growth startups. Before becoming CEO, he held leadership roles at Flat6Labs, including Chief Programs Officer and Managing Director of Tunisia, and previously worked with the World Bank, Acumen Fund, and development organizations across Africa and Asia. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from McGill University and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University. Yehia leads the process and the operations of Flat6Labs programs, designing and implementing an effective business strategy to position the company as a market leader internationally. He oversees the acceleration process of portfolio companies funded by Flat6Labs’ seed funds. Yehia is also responsible for establishing and driving the overall vision, leadership, and strategy for Flat6Labs, in collaboration with the CEO and CIO.
Prior to joining Flat6Labs in 2017, Yehia was leading tech-driven initiatives for youth employability & entrepreneurship at a regional MENA organization. He held various roles in non-governmental, research, and multilateral organizations in Africa and Asia before joining the World Bank. He advised a large-scale health-tech company in India with the Acumen Fund and managed business strategy at a startup in Jordan. Yehia holds a BSc in Computer Science from McGill University in Montreal and a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York.
