VivaTech 2026: IBM scales agentic AI and showcases its concrete enterprise use cases

VivaTech 2026: IBM scales agentic AI and showcases its concrete enterprise use cases

Paris, Monday, June 15: On the 10th edition of VivaTech, IBM is highlighting a new milestone in the industrialization of artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Following an initial phase of experimentation, organizations are now entering the era of AI capable of action—and IBM is demonstrating its concrete applications through solutions that can be deployed at scale.

“VivaTech is a key moment to demonstrate how artificial intelligence is moving from experimentation to action. IBM is showcasing its ability to deploy agentic AI at scale, serving enterprises while addressing critical challenges such as trust, sovereignty, and performance,” said Béatrice Kosowski, President of IBM France.

IBM brings agentic AI to life with IBM Bob

IBM Bob stands apart from traditional AI assistants with its ability to reason, plan, and act autonomously across the entire application lifecycle. From coding and modernizing existing systems to testing and secure deployment, the solution integrates seamlessly with both modern technology environments and mission-critical systems (banking, industrial, public sector) that have been in operation for over 30 years.

Sovereignty and AI: addressing trust and compliance challenges

In a context of increasing regulatory requirements around AI, IBM will present IBM Sovereign Core, a new software platform designed to help organizations:

- build and operate sovereign environments,
- support compliance with AI regulations,
- enable public and private organizations to maintain end-to-end data control.

This integrated approach responds to growing expectations around digital sovereignty and AI governance.

Visitors will also be able to discover IBM Sovereign Core on our booth—a new software platform designed to help organizations create, operate, and verify compliant AI-ready sovereign environments, providing both enterprises and public institutions with an end-to-end approach to digital sovereignty.

Quantum: tangible progress toward operational advantage

IBM will also showcase a replica of IBM Quantum System Two, illustrating the rapid progress of quantum computing.

The company will present concrete use cases combining quantum computing, AI, and high-performance computing, particularly in:

- industrial optimization,
- chemistry,
- new materials discovery.

These demonstrations reflect a clear ambition: to unlock the first operational advantages of quantum computing in real-world environments.

Training the talents of tomorrow in AI

IBM is reaffirming its commitment to digital skills through IBM SkillsBuild, featuring:

- free introductory AI learning pathways,
- interactive workshops allowing students to test IBM Bob and earn their first certifications,
- a continuous four-day activation “Improve your dev’s skills with IBM Bob,” enabling students to explore the tool interactively and benefit from a free trial,
- immersive sessions on Saturday (11:00 AM and 2:00 PM): in partnership with the student association Kryptosphere, the mini theater will host onboarding workshops and the “Get your IBM Badge” challenge, allowing participants to earn a first certification on-site.
