André Loesekrug-Pietri

André Loesekrug-Pietri held leadership positions in private equity, industry, as an entrepreneur and in government. He is the Chairman & Scientific Director of the Joint European Disruptive Initiative (JEDI), the advanced research projects initiative (European ARPA), with the mission to fund and develop the technological breakthroughs that will ensure Europe’s competitiveness and sovereignty. JEDI launches Moonshot technology programs and focuses on solving the major challenges of our time in the fields of energy, materials, life-sciences, computing (AI, quantum, semiconductors) and space. JEDI works for the common good, with over 7,500 technology and scientific leaders from academia, industry and deeptech startups in 30 countries and 43 hubs across Europe and democratic societies. French and German national, André is a Graduate from HEC, Harvard Kennedy School, auditor of Sup’ Aero aerospace engineering school and higher war college IHEDN, he is Young Global Leader from the World Economic Forum, European 40under40, reserve Colonel with the French Air & Space Force, private pilot, and sits on the Innovation Board of the Munich Security Conference, the Advisory Board of the Saarland 3 billion Euro Transformation Fund, and of global videogames leader Ubisoft listed on the Paris Stock Exchange.
