Brune Poirson advises companies and institutions on how geopolitical shifts reshape sustainability, competitiveness, and corporate purpose. In 2025, she founded Udaan Advisory, a consultancy supporting organizational transitions, with a strong focus on Asia and environmental and social strategies.
From 2021 to 2025, she served as Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Committee member at Accor, embedding sustainability at the core of strategy across nearly 110 countries.
As French Secretary of State for the Ecological Transition (2017–2020), she led the Circular Economy Law (“Loi AGEC”), accelerating industrial competitiveness, securing critical metal supply chains, scaling reuse markets, and reinforcing economic sovereignty across France and Europe. She also led France’s negotiations at climate and biodiversity COPs and launched international business coalitions. She was the first French national elected Vice President of the United Nations Environment Assembly.
She began her career in London, India, and Boston. She currently serves on the boards of Getlink, ADEO France, Atlantic Vantage Point and the French National Museum of Natural History. She holds degrees from LSE, Sciences Po Aix and Harvard.
