About Me

Clara Hainsdorf is a partner in the Tech and Data practice in Paris. She advises on a wide range of matters involving technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, intellectual property, e-commerce, and complex commercial contracts. Her practice covers both advisory and contentious work, supporting clients in structuring, negotiating, and securing their technology-driven projects as well as representing them in high-stakes disputes. Within this broad practice, Clara has developed a strong focus on supporting digital platforms and online businesses with their most strategic legal and regulatory challenges. She has deep expertise in the regulatory frameworks shaping the digital economy, including the GDPR, Data Act, Digital Services Act (DSA), and NIS 2, and regularly assists clients with compliance, risk management, and operational strategy in these areas. Clara is particularly recognized for her ability to help clients anticipate and address the evolving obligations imposed on platforms, especially in relation to data governance, AI deployment, and the implementation of new EU regulations. She is also a recognized author and editor, having contributed to leading White & Case handbooks and international guides on data protection, technology, and AI regulation. Clara also has significant experience in technology and internet-related litigation, as well as in privacy and data protection matters. She frequently represents clients before French and European authorities, assisting them with investigations, regulatory proceedings, and complex cross-border matters. Her client base includes leading digital platforms, social media companies, e-commerce players, and multinational corporations across various industries. She is admitted to the Paris Bar, the New York State Bar, and the US District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Clara teaches at Sciences Po and is a frequent speaker at major industry events on AI, privacy, technology, FinTech and regulatory issues, including VivaTech, White & Case Tech Lab quarterly client seminar series and the firm’s GDPR and AI Act Countdown seminars.
