Delphine VIGUIER-HOVASSE is Chief Innovation & Prospective Officer at L’Oréal and a member of the Group’s Executive Committee. In this newly created role (2025), she helps shape the Group’s future growth, ensuring that L’Oréal and its brands stay at the forefront of scientific disruption and consumer relevance in a fast-evolving global landscape. With the mission to serve 2 billion consumers, she embodies the L’Oréal spirit to “seize what begins.” Delphine leads the global Innovation and Strategic Foresight teams, with a focus on conquering new beauty territories and building a pipeline of disruptive offers that raise industry standards. Her teams operate as a cross-Group catalyst—connecting Research, Labs, Beauty Tech, Divisions, Brands, and Markets—to translate L’Oréal scientific excellence into superior products and experiences that scale globally with speed and cultural relevance. She also oversees a worldwide network of innovation hubs designed to combine global breakthroughs with deep local consumer insight across categories. An engineer by training, Delphine joined L’Oréal in 1997 and has built a distinguished career at the intersection of product development, brand-building and business transformation. She served as Global President of Garnier, where she accelerated the brand’s “Green Beauty” transformation, and as Global President of L’Oréal Paris, where she delivered unprecedented growth by fast-tracking breakthrough innovation while driving a profound transformation of the world’s leading beauty brand—spanning new products, new regions, and strong brand equity around women empowerment. Her vision of progress is driven by a singular obsession: the belief that a great product is the perfect marriage of technical breakthrough and human aspiration. “I’m an engineer, passionate about science and human connection,” she says. “To me, the product is everything. Innovation is the art of making science become a daily solution for billions.” Delphine’s commitment to empowerment is a cornerstone of her leadership. As a Board Member of the Fondation L’Oréal, she is an advocate for women’s leadership in science and beauty as a force for inclusivity. At L’Oréal Paris, she launched the landmark global program “Stand Up Against Street Harassment,” creating a movement for safer public spaces for women. Committed to youth and artistic creation, she created the “Lights on Women” international award at the Cannes Film Festival to promote female filmmakers. She was a member of ANDAM, the prestigious French fashion council that scouts and supports emerging designers, bridging the worlds of beauty, design, and culture. In 2024, the French Government appointed her with the insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite, honoring her exceptional career and contributions.
