About Me
Dror Bin, as CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority, has led the development of a
wide range of dedicated financing tools to strengthen Israeli entrepreneurship
and the technological ecosystem, which span the full continuum of innovation,
from ideation and proof of concept through production and global market entry.
Under his leadership, the Authority has launched dedicated programs such as
the Startup Fund, Deep-Tech Incubators, and the revamped YOZMA Fund (Fund
of Funds), specifically designed to engage private investors, reduce market entry
risks, and create fertile ground for long-term investment.
Mr. Bin has been especially focused on lowering entry barriers for private
investors, matching private funds, offering non-dilutive grants, and creating
incubators that serve as bridges from academic research to commercial success.
Through these efforts, the Authority not only nurtures groundbreaking ideas but
also provides the strategic bridge that connects Israel’s dynamic tech ecosystem
with global markets and partners. The result: a more resilient Israeli tech
ecosystem that not only nurtures disruptive ideas at the earliest stages but also
equips companies to scale, export, and partner internationally.
Prior to his role at the Innovation Authority, Dror was President & CEO of RAD
Data Communications, overseeing its global operations, development centers,
and manufacturing sites. He also held senior management roles at Comverse
Technology (including VP of Global Sales), served as a venture partner at Carmel
Ventures, chaired multiple portfolio companies, and worked as a partner at
Shaldor Consulting.
