About Me

As Founder and CEO of Envision, Lei Zhang is shaping the AI energy system with AI energy and weather foundation models capable of powering industrial intelligence and smart energy grids at scale across physical AI assets including renewables, energy storage and green hydrogen. Envision is recognized among the TIME100 Most Influential Companies and Fortune Change the World list. Lei founded the Global School of Sustainability with the London School of Economics in 2024 to advance systemic climate solutions for prosperity. In 2025, he was named a TIME100 Most Influential Climate Leader and in 2026, he received the Energy Institute President’s Award—its highest honor—becoming the first private sector leader to do so, and was elected an Honorary Fellow.
