At VivaTech, the Impact Village is a dedicated space focused entirely on technology that protects the planet and supports society. Within this space, the Impact Builders program, a unique partnership between VivaTech, Diversidays, and L’Escalator, accelerates early-stage startups that combine commercial ambition with a clear social mission.
The program provides these selected founders with six months of free incubation, expert mentorship, and a global stage. Here, technology isn’t a tool for profit.
Meet the ten innovative companies setting the standard for the future of tech:
1. Periodt. - Mélisange Goma
Periodt tackles period poverty by providing free menstrual products in public spaces, universities, and corporate offices. Instead of making the users pay, the entire distribution model is funded by ethical advertising displayed directly on the dispensing machines.
How did the program help you balance growth and social impact?
Founder Mélisange Goma says, “The program helped me see that the impact IS the business case. Every time a law fails to deliver free period products to students, Periodt becomes more necessary. I stopped seeing the social mission as something to protect from investors and started presenting it as the reason the market exists.”
2. Opale - Vigdis Morisse-Herrera
Opale is a highly secure, anonymous web platform dedicated to support victims of domestic violence. Through an in-depth 200-question digital diagnostic tool, it help users safely identify abuse, understand their legal rights, and connect with state resources, banks, and local support networks. It also offers a b2b platform for companies and cities to protect their employees or citizens.
3. Ohmyseason - Laura Krasniqi
Ohmyseason simplifies operations for the seasonal hospitality and tourism industry. The platform helps hotels and restaurants quickly recruit staff while simultaneously tackling one of the biggest challenges in seasonal work: finding safe and reliable housing for temporary workers.
4. AVI - Evy Saba Ouyabe Zuinghedau
AVI acts as a digital travel and mobility assistant built for individuals with specific needs. This includes people with visible disabilities, invisible conditions, seniors, and caregivers. The platform gathers fragmented transit data to make route planning clear and predictable.
What was the single most important "lightbulb" moment for your business?
“Realizing that accessibility is not a niche, it’s also a market. When we stopped framing AVI just as a solution for a minority and started framing it as an untapped opportunity for everyone with specific needs in the travel industry, it shifted the entire business conversation,” says founder Evy.
5. Famille Santé - Manon Sauter
Famille Santé is an AI-powered pediatric healthcare app made to give parents fast, reliable medical advice for their children. By guiding parents through symptoms, it helps them understand if they need to visit a doctor immediately or can handle the issue at home, reducing hospital wait times.
6. Geominnov - Fanny Fanou
Geominnov uses artificial intelligence, geospatial data, and climate projections to evaluate environmental risks for buildings. The platform gives insurers and real estate professionals the data they need to anticipate climate threats like flooding, droughts, and soil shifting.
7. Glot - Majid Haddouchi
Glot provides real-time voice translation and subtitling during live events. By using artificial intelligence, it allows international audiences and people with hearing difficulties to follow live speakers using their own smartphones or tablets, completely removing the need for expensive, awkward rental headsets.
What would you tell a founder considering applying?
“I would tell them to apply without overthinking it. The value of the program is not only in what you learn individually, but in how it forces you to sharpen your vision by being exposed to other founders building with intention. Even if the idea is still early, that environment helps accelerate clarity faster than building in isolation.”
8. Moderering - Alexandre Sossou
Modering develops advanced, AI-powered content moderation agents to protect online platforms. It automatically identifies and filters out harmful content, hate speech, fraud, and scams on social media networks and e-commerce websites.
9. Celeste Ecoflyers - Olivier Manette
Celeste Ecoflyers builds ultra=lightweight, long-range electric drones designed for complex aerial missions. Because they’re fully electric and low-cost, they offer an eco-friendly alternative to traditional helicopters or gas-powered aircraft for logistics, surveillance, and emergency response.
10. Greenzy - Adélaïde Biebuyck
Greenzy creates smart indoor composters made specifically for corporate offices. It allows businesses to recycle their organic food and coffee waste on-site without any unpleasant smells, helping companies cut down on trash collection fees while tracking their positive impact on the environment.
These ten startups prove that technology is at its best when it solves real human and environmental challenges.
